Disappointed

One of the worse feelings you can have is disappointment. When you are disappointed you feel as if there is no hope. Worse than that, is when you are disappointed in yourself, you feel as if you are a failure because you know that you could have done better or you didn’t try hard enough.

This is actually normal and it might be an indication that you should try harder next time. However, if you keep wallowing in your disappointment you will not get anywhere. Masaru Emoto, author of The Secret Life of Water  wrote “If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.”

Ladies, it is important to know who you are, it is only when you know who you are that you can actually return to yourself.   As such do not remain in your feeling of despair, instead seek to find yourself. Start by finding out what your Creator has to say about who you are, speak these things over yourself and you will find hope.
This is how the Lord sees you.

1.   He made you in his own image and gave you dominion over all the earth and everything in it (Genesis 1:26)
2.   He made you a little lower than the angels (angels is translated Elohim in the Hebrew which means God) (Psalms 8:5)
3.   He dwells within you (1 Corinthians 6:19)
4.   You are fearfully wonderfully made (Psalms 139:13-16)
5.   You are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37)
6.   You are the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13)
Read these scriptures today, speak life to them and you will discover that you are much more than the thing that has caused you to be disappointed.

Have A God Filled Day Ladies

Let’s Pray,

Mighty God, today we are feeling disappointed because we did not live up to our own expectations or even yours, but we want to thank you for reassuring us by reminding us of who we are in you. Lord we pray that you will lift us up so that we can rediscover and find ourselves in you.

In Jesus Name

Amen
