Running over, running over
Author: Seth Sykes

Running over, running over,
My cup's fill'd and running over,
Since the Lord saved me, I'm as happy as can be,
My cup's fill'd and running over.

I believe the song above accurately describes how one should be after they have accepted Christ in their lives. It’s a happy song; it paints a picture of a cup filled to the brim and overflowing. In the same way, as Christians we should be so full of joy, peace, love and hope that we are bursting at the seams it becomes impossible not to share this new found life with everyone we meet.

Before I became a Christian, I visited a church; the speaker was a single woman, mid to late thirties. I cannot forget how pleasant and happy she was, I remember thinking that if I should become a Christian I would want to be just like her.

We often worry, become depressed and sad over every little thing. Many times our countenance look so dragged and weary, one has to wonder if we even have a relationship with God.
Ladies, as we approach Easter, let us reflect on why Christ died on the cross for us. Today’s scripture tells us that he was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities, punished for our peace and we are healed by his wounds.

It therefore means that there is no need for us to be burdened by our sins or our problems. It means that we can be at peace and our sicknesses, our broken hearts and our pains are already healed because two thousand years ago Christ died so that we might have abundant life.

In this season, let’s take a different approach, let us not just remember that Christ died, was resurrected and ascended to heaven. Instead, let’s embrace what He did for us, let’s walk as the salt and the light of this earth, touching others, serving others and bringing hope to those who are hopeless.

Lets Pray,

Lord, thank you for dying on the cross for us. Forgive us for not embracing the reason why you suffered and died on the cross for us. Increase our faith so that we can accept this new life that you gave to us. Also, help us to serve and testify to others so they too can know and accept you as savior of their lives

In Jesus Name

Amen

Have a God Filled Day Ladies
