Thankful

Main Scripture: Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV

Worship Song to meditate on:  Be Grateful - The Hawkins Family (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUEkRp69aIU)

In January of this year I got a post from Robin Sharma, author of “The Monk who sold His Ferrari.” And “the Leader Who Had No Title.” This blog was entitled “62 Fast ways to get unstuck”, the tip that stuck with me was “Write handwritten thank you notes to your customers, teammates and family members.” I haven’t started yet but I vow that I will begin soon.

1 Thessalonians 5:13 says “Give thanks in all circumstances”. You may be asking what is there to give thanks for. Here are a few things I am thankful for:

Life – I am happy to be alive, there is so much to live for despite all the doom and gloom around us. Every day is a day that we have never seen before and we will never see again.

Family – I love my family, I think I have the best family in the world. I have nine siblings, lots of nieces and nephews, my mother and my sisters and brothers in law. My dad died two years ago. I bless God for them because we are so closely knitted and we have a kind of relationship that not all families enjoy.

Friends – I have some friends to die for, people who I can always call on when I need a shoulder, a hand, a kind word, a rebuke and I do my best to do the same for them. I bless God for all my friends.

Church Family – My church family is my extended family members. I never find a more caring set of people. Our value statement is “The friendly family Church.”

Salvation and Purpose – Thank God that I am saved and I have a relationship with Christ Jesus. I am also grateful that there is purpose on my life and that he uses me to touch so many lives in so many nations on a daily basis.

Ladies, today no matter how dismal life may seem, find something to give God thanks for. Also find someone who has touched you in some way and let them know you are grateful. They might just end up being grateful to you as well for letting them know that what they have done has not gone unnoticed.

Let’s Pray,

Lord, we are grateful today that you have given unto life. Forgive us Lord God for being ungrateful to you and others who have touched us in even a small way. Help us today to be grateful even for the things we consider insignificant.

In Jesus Name

Amen

Have A God Filled Day Ladies
