A Mind to Work (Part 2) - Build

Main Scripture: So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. Nehemiah 4:6 (KJV) – Read the Book of Nehemiah.

Ladies, after you have completed the six steps mentioned over the last two days, it is now time to build:

1.   Build – Now you are ready to put up your building, you are ready to work on building your marriage, launch your new career, launch your new business, or move to another level with your Christian walk. In Nehemiah’s case he was determined to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. Rebuilding the wall did not come without its own set of obstacles however; the people had a mind to work so they still got it done.

While Nehemiah was building the wall there were those who were saying that that he could not get it done, they even laughed at him (Nehemiah 2:19). Ladies in same way, when you are working toward your goals and aspirations, there will always be naysayers, however, if you have a mind to work and follow the steps outlined. You can be confident like Nehemiah in Chapter 2:20 that the Lord of heaven will make you succeed and that your enemies will have no portion in it.

Secondly, there are people who you are expecting support from that will not support you. In Nehemiah 3: 5, we saw where the nobles did not help to build the wall. However, ladies do not be dismayed; God will open doors for you that you did not even know was there. He will even cause strangers to help you to build. Adopt a posture like Nehemiah; pray every step of the way being confident that God is supporting you.

Thirdly, there are people who will even try to stop you. There are always going to be people who don’t want to see your marriage work, or your children turn out to be successful. As such they will try everything to ensure that you do not achieve your goal. However, once you have a mind to work like Nehemiah, watch out for them but do not stop working. Be determined to finish the course you started at school or to get your ministry working.

Ladies, God has placed you where you are by design. Like He did with Nehemiah, He placed a desire upon your heart that must be manifested. Be determined to get it done, have a made up mind that you are going to do it no matter what obstacles may come your way. There is a saying “If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it.” This was evident in Nehemiah’s case. All God wants you to do is “have a mind to work”.

God Bless You. Let’s Pray.

Lord we thank you for all that you have thought us. We thank you Lord for the desires and the situations in our lives. Lord as we meet up on our obstacles, we stand on your word that says you will never leave us or forsake. Lord, give us the strength and the grace to work towards achieving that which you have placed in our hearts. We claim success in all our endeavours.

In Jesus Name,
Amen
