to meditate on: Never Would've Made It - Marvin

Yesterday I was at the office complaining and arguing about my job
situation as I felt that management made some decisions that could have some
effect on the viability of the company I work with. Suddenly, one of my co-workers
came in and told us that a young lady who is having suicidal thoughts needs
someone to talk to. Another co-worker and I took up the challenge.
This young lady proceeded to tell us about a very heart wrenching
situation where her elderly parents and her siblings had not eaten for six
days, yet they try so hard to do what they can do to survive. For example she
has a brother that is currently doing exams, doesn’t eat most days but still
study and go to school.(By the way, he is adopted). After doing what we could
do to help and promising the young lady that we would keep in touch to help her
some more I turned to my co-worker and reminded her how much we were
complaining earlier and we did not have a smidgen of the problems that this
young woman is faced with.
Ladies, I was also reminded of today’s scripture from Paul, whatever
circumstances we find ourselves in, we should learn to be content. First of all
if we depend on Christ, He will strengthen us. He will take us through whatever
we are going through and ensure we come out refined and better for it. Secondly,
you can be assured that someone’s situation is worst than yours so there is no
need to feel as if you are at the bottom of the pile.
“It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or
what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about
it.” Dale Carnegie
“Be content with what you have;
rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking,
the whole world belongs to you.”
― Lao Tzu
rejoice in the way things are.

the whole world belongs to you.”
― Lao Tzu
Let’s Pray,
Father, thank you for all that you have blessed us with. Today Lord I
pray that you will teach us to be content with what we what have. Lord strengthen
us in our trying situations, so that we might come out stronger and better
equipped to help others. Give us testimonies that we can share with others so
that they too will know of your faithfulness and that they too can get past
their situations.
In Jesus Name
Amen
