Experience Teaches Wisdom

Main Scripture: When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV)

In today’s main scripture Paul tells us that when he was a child he reasoned thought and had discussions like a child would have, but when he became a man he put away those childish ways. Reasoning and thinking like a man however had to come through the knowledge and experience that he had gained throughout the years. As the saying goes "experience teaches wisdom”, it is this wisdom gained that will allow us to approach our challenges as in an adult way.

Note however, that no where did it say that this experience has to be our own experiences. We can learn a lot about handling our challenges by learning from other people experiences. I am reminded of the story of Moses where he listened to the advice of his father-in-law and did what he said. This resulted in better management of the Israelites. (Exodus18:13-27). There are also many other situations throughout the bible where advice was sought from elders by leaders.

Today, we see where kings and politicians have advisors because they do not have the experience to deal with all the challenges that they are faced with daily.

Ladies, is there anything that you are struggling with today and you don't know the way out? Seek to learn from the experiences of others.
Yes, we all want to be inventors in our own right and to be known for our own ideas; however there is no shame in asking for advice or relying on the experience of others to solve that problem you might be faced with today. Most successful people have mentors and God have divinely placed people with experiences to assist us with our daily challenges and situations.
As such, today ladies instead of dealing with this challenge by yourself, ask God to lead you to someone who can help you to get things off the ground. It is said that “the wise man learns from the mistakes of others, the fool has to learn from his own.” – Anon
God Bless You

Let’s Pray,

Heavenly Father, thank you for blessing us with this beautiful day. Lord, we want to thank you for the ideas and desires that you keep downloading in our spirits. Take away pride and stubbornness from us so that we will see that you have placed persons around us that we can learn from. Cause us to meet people who will teach us wisdom in getting our plans off the ground and who will help us with our situations. Lord once again we thank you for your faithfulness

 In Jesus Name

 Amen
