Guarding our Hearts (Part 2)

Main Scripture: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

Music to meditate on: Create in Me a Clean Heart by Donnie McClurkin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bacXQPujfKI)

As Solomon tells us in today’s scripture “everything we do flows form our hearts.” It is said that our hearts are where all our emotions and passions dwell as such this is where we love from and where our purpose in life dwells. If this is so, it therefore means that what comes out our hearts can affect our relationships (with God and man), our jobs, our ministry, our families and our legacy. Therefore Ladies, guard your hearts by:

1.   Meditating on God’s Word – Phillipians 4:7 says” And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Ladies seek to find the peace of God by meditating on His words daily and praying to him about all your all your situations.” David said in Psalms 119:11 that he hides God words in his heart so that he will not sin.

2.   Trusting God - Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (ESV) Allow God to direct your thoughts and your actions by trusting him.

3.   Keeping God’s Commandments - “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you”. (Proverbs 3:1 ESV). Ladies get to know what God requires of you and keep his commandments, this will cause your hear to be at peace. A peaceful heart will result in a peaceful life.

Let’s Pray

Almighty God,

Thank you for keeping us and giving us another day. Lord, hide your words in our hearts so that we will not sin against you. Also, help us to meditate on your words constantly so that our hearts will find peace. Also teach us not to lean on our own understanding but to trust in you to direct our actions, our thoughts and our ways. Give us peace in our hearts today God as we seek to keep your commandments. We thank you and bless your name.

In Jesus Name

Amen

Have a God Filled Day Ladies
