I Serve a Risen Saviour
He lives, He lives,
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
As a child
growing up in church I can remember singing this little hymn. Now as the Easter
Season draws to a close and after watching so many different version of Christ’s
Crucifixion this little hymn comes backs to me.
During Easter as
well there are so many debates about whether God is alive or dead and there are
many theories about whether or not God is still actively involved in what
happens in the world but as Paul in 1 Corinthians says 15 : 7- 9 says “And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is
futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we
are of all people most to be pitied.”
My intention this morning is not to argue these theories
as I am just grateful this morning that I serve a risen savior who is truly
active in my life.
Ladies the mere fact that you got up this morning means
that God is still active in our lives today. Many times I get up anxious and
worried about life or fearful of something and it is God whom I talk to before
I leave the house, then I am at peace to go through the rest of day.
The love that I
am able to share with others is not as a result of a dead God but it as a
result of having a relationship with a risen Christ whom I strive to emulate
daily.
As the song writer says
In all the world
around me
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Let’s Pray
Lord, I just want to thank you today for being an
active force in my life for helping me thorough life’s troubles and for always
being here for me.
In Jesus Name
Amen
Have a
God Filled Day Ladies
