Neither Give Place To The Devil

Main Scripture:  Neither give place to the devil. Eph 4:27 (KJV)

Do you feel as if something as stolen your joy? Are you unable to find peace? Are you miserable and empty at times? Do you feel as if you cannot even talk to God because you are not worthy?

All this can be as a result of giving the devil an opportunity to work in your life. Ladies do not be mistaken, the devil is not your friend, he does not want you to succeed at anything. John 10:10 tells us that the purpose of the thief is the kill, steal and destroy and 1 Peter 5:8 reminds us that the devil is our enemy and he is as a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. Therefore we should not be surprised when we have all kinds of troubles and temptations; it is the work of the devil.

When we give him the opportunity to work in our lives, he will not stop until he kills us. He will come so subtle disguising himself as the angel of light (2 Cor 11:14). He will bring the solution to your problems in a nice little package, making it seem as if it’s God’s answer to your problems and even though you know it is not you take the package and decide you will keep it for just a little while, then you open its contents start using them until you are so far gone you have lost your peace and your joy and you find it hard to talk to God because you are feeling unworthy. What is even worst you cannot tell anyone because you should have known better.

Fortunately for us, it is never too late. My Pastor once told me to “back up the truck.” Ladies no matter how far you have allowed the devil to lead you it is not too late to take charge of the steering wheel and “back up the truck.” Unlike the devil, Jesus is our friend, He is the true Shepherd and His purpose is to ensure that we have a full and satisfying life (John10:10), not a life that is full of guilt, unhappiness and regrets. John 10:9 says that “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”  In order for this to happen however we have a part to play:

·         Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
·         Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16
·         Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Eph 6:11

Ladies do not allow the devil to steal your peace or joy, too great a price was paid on Calvary to procure them for you.

Have A God Filled Day Ladies

Let’s Pray,

Father, we thank you for paying such a price for our sins, we are grateful that you are our friend and that you are always looking out for us. Forgive us of our sins today; forgive us for allowing the devil to lead us astray. Father we pray today that you will strengthen us and that you will remove every guilt and feeling of unworthiness even now. Lord we submit ourselves to you and we pray that you will restore us and keep us sober and vigilant so we will be able to resist the devil.
In Jesus Name

Amen
